About Us
The Ark Pediatric Therapy Services is a newly established pediatric Physical & Occupational therapy clinic. We are co-locating with an experienced pediatric Speech Therapy provider you are likely familiar with: SpeechCare, who was formerly located at 1931 Central Parkway, Decatur. This will allow all three disciplines of therapy to be provided in one convenient location. SpeechCare has been in business for 30+ years, serving the Huntsville and Decatur areas. We are excited to serve you and your patients with all we have to offer at our new location, along with this quality experienced speech team with whom we have a long standing relationship. We understand how important your time is and vow to provide you accurate, timely, and clear communications. We will staff accordingly to curtail long wait lists.

What we will provide: Under one roof, we offer coordinated OT/PT/ST schedules to eliminate unnecessary travel for your patients. We are mindful that travel can be difficult for many.
​
Services we offer immediately include: metronome, feeding, Physical and Occupational Therapy that will promote independence and participation in daily activities, a full sensory room complete with Huggle Pods, sensory tiles, fiber lights, weighted vest, Joe cool chairs, and more. We have multiple private rooms for independent treatment, as well as a large and well equipped activity area.

In the very near future we plan to offer Beam and Spider Cage therapy which will help improve muscle strength, balance, coordination, and motor function skills, as well as sensory needs. Keep an eye on this page for updates!
Meet the Office Administrator

Carol Etheredge will be communicating with your staff for referrals. She will be responsible for all scheduling and insurance verifications. She will provide a copy of every referral evaluation when completed and is available to field calls about any of your patient’s appointments. She is reliable, efficient, and a clear communicator. She also has demonstrated a passion for our patients and desires to have a family atmosphere for a workplace.

Meet the Owner

My name is Jonnie Simmons and I have worked in the pediatric field of PT and OT for 15 years. I started with Robin Irwin Physical Therapy in 2009, remaining through her retirement and beyond. I have experience with every aspect of pediatric therapy service and found this line of work to be my passion. The relationships that have developed with patients and their families will be cherished the rest of my life. Partnering with my experienced staff, our primary goal is to provide the best possible care for our children in a happy, ethical environment.
